Julie A. Dopheide is Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Economics & Policy at the University of Southern California with appointments in the school of pharmacy and medicine. Dr. Dopheide is a clinician and educator whose clinical research focuses on inpatients with psychiatric illness. She has investigated the tolerability of Depakote loading in patients with bipolar and has examined the use of psychotropic medication in hospitalized persons with eating disorders. Dr. Dopheide has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals, textbooks and educational publications, on topics including ADHD, depression, sleep, insomnia, eating disorders and drug-induced psychiatric disorders. Dr. Dopheide's areas of expertise are child/adolescent psychopharmacology and general inpatient psychopharmacology. She is active in ASHP, NAMI and serves on the board of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP).
