Dr. German's experience in desktop publishing and computer software is reflected in her work and accomplishments. Dr. German joined the UK Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education in 1996 and was responsible for increasing the office's publishing abilities and assisting the director in expanding Web-based education. Her knowledge in disease state management and ambulatory care practice has been instrumental in moving the disease state management modules and Pharmaceutical Care initiatives forward. Dr. German has personally taught over 100 local, state, regional, national, and international continuing education programs. Dr. German has been a practicing pharmacist for almost 20 years. She has had a diverse practice experience, which is helpful in understanding the various audiences. She has been on faculty in the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy for 13 years, teaching both in the classroom and practical experience clerkships. Dr. German graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy in 1982 and is board certified in Anticoagulation from both National Certification Board of Anticoagulation Providers and the National Associations of Boards of Pharmacy. She established a Clinical Pharmacy Department, an Anticoagulation Clinic, and a Pharmacy Residency Program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
